Job Description

Remote Finance Manager | Scaling Music & Live Events Business | Remote (UK Based). This role combines hands-on ownership of the finance function with influential senior stakeholder engagement. You will lead two junior accountants, ensuring smooth operational delivery while enhancing reporting, systems, and commercial insight across touring, live events, and artist finances. You'll work remotely with occasional in-person collaboration and act as the finance partner to senior leadership, artist management teams, and external music-industry stakeholders. The ideal candidate will love the detail of financial accuracy while also being comfortable influencing commercial decisions.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead day-to-day finance operations across AP/AR, credit control, invoicing, settlements, expenses, and payments (with the help of 2 junior accountants)
  • Manage and mentor two junior accountants, ensuring strong controls and high-quality output
  • Business partner with the Directors/Founders and artist teams
  • Produce monthly management accounts with insight for senior leadership and artist teams
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow planning across touring, live events, and multi-stream artist revenue
  • Maintain accurate financial records in Xero
  • complete reconciliations and ensure compliant documentation
  • Review profitability, project performance, and cashflow for tours and live events
  • Improve financial systems, reporting tools, and internal workflows to support scalability
  • Oversee payroll reviews, VAT and year-end accounts with external accounting firm
  • Ad hoc tasks to support the Founders/Junior Accountants

Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Experience working within the creative, music, live events, media, or entertainment sector
  • Background managing or mentoring junior finance staff
  • Comfortable in high-volume, fast-paced environments with multiple revenue streams
