Job Description:

We are seeking a Remedy Database Developer to take full ownership of a critical internal change management platform supporting customer communications for large-scale network operations. This system plays a key role in notifying 30+ million customers of planned service events and changes. This is a highly impactful role where you will design, build, and enhance workflows within a complex, high-volume data environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Architect and develop BMC Remedy workflows and applications, including full control of data flow, messaging, and workflow logic
  • Own and enhance a Remedy-based change management system used across large-scale network operations
  • Work with large-scale SQL databases (4TB+, 100M+ rows) to design efficient queries, data models, and performance optimizations
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash, Shell) within a Linux environment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system enhancements, performance improvements, and production stability
  • Ensure reliability and scalability of workflows supporting high-volume customer communications

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with BMC Remedy (Remedy ITSM / Helix) development and workflow design
  • Proven experience working with large-scale SQL databases (terabyte-level datasets, high row counts)
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Shell scripting in a Linux/Unix environment
  • Experience designing and maintaining data flows, messaging systems, and workflow-driven applications.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with JIRA or similar ticketing/workflow tools
  • Background supporting enterprise-scale systems or telecom environments.

  • Maintains data standards (including adherence to the Data Protection Act) and writes database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and data dictionary definitions
  • Controls access permissions and privileges while developing and testing backup and recovery plans
