Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare valuation and restructuring analysis for stressed and distressed assets within Citi’s Corporate bank, Commercial bank, and Wealth portfolios and situations including the determination of write-off, reserve, and risk of loss amounts that directly impact profit and loss of the firm
  • Model companies' financial position to determine appropriate debt structure and accurate debt value using the most appropriate valuation methodology
  • Prepare quarterly classification documents with detailed financial and credit analyses to maintain appropriate classifications of classified exposures
  • Track ongoing performance of classified credits and report to senior credit and business management
  • Assess liquidity, debt repayment capacity, and other areas of financial and operating performance to evaluate areas of weakness and potential for turnaround which is measured by setting and monitoring appropriate classification triggers
  • Provide active support in the preparation of quarterly regulatory reporting for Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related finance occupation performing asset analysis and risk assessments in the financial services industry
  • Analyzing and evaluating financial statements and business plans across a range of industrial sectors
  • Conducting risk assessments and quantitative analysis on the financial situation of loan borrowers
  • Hands-on experience with corporate and debt structuring with a particular focus on overseeing bank loan documentation
  • Performing credit analysis on a diversified portfolio including corporate or commercial loans
  • Developing corporate financial modeling including three-statement modeling requiring strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Performing enterprise and collateral valuations with a variety of techniques with a particular focus on Discounted Cash Flows but also including appraisals, multiple-based, and precedent transactions
  • Synthesizing complex concepts and translating into "user-friendly" language for multiple audiences including senior management, internal constituents, and regulators
