Job Responsibility:

  • Promotion and delivery of swimming lessons to children and adults as part of the KA Leisure swimming programme
  • Prepare and deliver a variety of swimming lessons
  • Encourage and promote KA Leisure swimming lesson programme
  • Ensure the health and safety of all staff and customers

Requirements:

  • Current teaching/coaching certificate as approved by the relevant Governing Body of Sport
  • Availability to work evenings and/or weekends

  • Current Ellis & Associates (or equivalent) lifeguard certification preferred or able to attain certification upon hire
  • Recognizes an emergency and takes appropriate action

  • Scan assigned areas and never leave unless qualified relief is present
  • Assist aquatic leadership to ensure smooth operation of the facilities
  • Participate in in-service training programs for safety, customer service at all water park facilities. Complete all required company trainings and compliance courses as assigned, including but not limited to completion of mandatory 4 hours per month of In-service as per E&A lifeguard certificate qualification
  • Responsible for the care and maintenance of issued equipment
  • Keep the water park areas clear of dangerous objects and substances
  • Immediately report needed repairs to the aquatics/park services supervisor and or manager
  • Present a favorable, professional public image
  • Perform related duties as assigned by aquatics supervisor and or manager. Duties may include, but are not limited to, general housekeeping, general maintenance, inspection of equipment and aquatic features within the park
