Job Description

Real Life Options provide support to people with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs. We provide individualised support packages and promote independence to enable people to live a happy fulfilled life within their own homes. The purpose-built accommodation is made of individual apartments and purpose-built bungalows. The service comprises of 12 apartments for people with mild learning disabilities, 4 bungalows for individuals with higher complex needs and 4 bungalows for people who display behaviours of concern.

Job Responsibility

  • following daily planners
  • helping with financial expenditure
  • domestic support and administration of medication
  • support with personal care
  • support with meal planning/preparation
  • support with maintaining important relationships
  • support to find new friendships
  • encouraging participation in activities in the local community to enhance social inclusion
  • seeking new opportunities for the growth and development of the people we support which could include volunteering roles and further education access

Requirements

  • Flexibility to cover shift patterns over the 7 day weekly period is essential
  • An Enhanced DBS will be required for this role
