Job Description:

We are looking for a warm, caring and respectful Relief Support Worker to join our friendly staff team in Heysham, Morecambe. At our vibrant service in Heysham, our passionate team of Support Workers provide quality person-centred support to people with autism spectrum conditions and additional learning disabilities, mental health needs and complex behaviours.

Job Responsibility:

Providing support, information and guidance to service users
Maximising service user outcomes by encouraging personal development and independent living skills
Empowering service users and promote their rights
Collaborating with service users, families and involved professionals to provide a consistent and coordinated service
A willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service

Requirements:

A minimum of twelve months’ previous employed experience in a similar role is essential

Nice to have:

Experience in providing care and support to people with autism spectrum conditions
knowledge of positive behavioural support and implementing mental health recovery models
a relevant social care qualification
