High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate’s preferred
Secretarial and computer experience including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) experience required
One or more years clerical experience, preferably in hospitals, or an equivalent combination of training

Job Responsibility

Demonstrates effective computer skills and effective use of programs including Infor, EPIC, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the CHRISTUS intranet
Performs assigned department maintenance duties
Maintains associate attendance records and reports identified problems/issues to department director
Assures Infor Timekeeping is maintained daily to reflect changes in schedules
Monitors email messages and posts important communications for other associates
Maintains competencies to provide relief for surgery scheduling clerk and data specialist as needed
Assists department director and team leaders in the maintenance of physician preferences, policies and procedures, letters and memoranda, reports, and other special projects as needed
Assimilates and analyzes monthly statistical data from Meditech to Excel
Performs other duties as assigned
