Job Description:

We are looking for a Relief Cook who is dedicated to making every moment count, regardless of their qualifications or experience. As a Relief Cook, you will need to be adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of our team are essential for delivering high-quality meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents.

Job Responsibility:

  • Preparation of wholesome meals meeting dietary needs of residents
  • ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene requirements
  • plan and prepare nutritious meals including customizing for allergies or dietary restrictions
  • ensure portion control, maintain hygiene and safety standards, manage kitchen stock and equipment
  • communicate with residents and staff for feedback and service improvement
  • maintain records of meal plans, temperature checks, and dietary preferences
  • contribute to special events
  • adhere to health and safety protocols and attend mandatory training

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • knowledge of elderly dietary needs
  • certification in Food Safety and Hygiene
  • physical stamina for standing and lifting
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work collaboratively
  • adaptability
