Job Description:

We are seeking a Reliability Planner Scheduler to join our Engineering team based in Hamilton. This role is responsible for coordinating production and maintenance schedules, managing work orders, and ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet customer commitments and internal targets. The Reliability Planner Scheduler will collaborate with production, procurement, engineering, and service teams to optimise workflow, minimise downtime, and improve on-time delivery. This position requires a proactive, organised individual who can balance competing priorities while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and schedule maintenance work using MEX CMMS
  • Develop weekly schedules and coordinate with Production to minimise downtime
  • Maintain and improve preventative maintenance programmes
  • Ensure parts and resources are available for planned work
  • Manage maintenance backlog and maintain accurate CMMS data
  • Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Promote safe, compliant maintenance practices
  • Collaborating with maintenance and engineering to plan shutdowns, planned maintenance and project activities

Requirements:

  • NZQA Level 4 (or equivalent) in Engineering, Maintenance, or a related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in maintenance within manufacturing
  • Proven experience in maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Strong CMMS experience (MEX highly regarded)
  • Experience with ERP or CMMS systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, IBM Maximo) and strong Excel skills
  • Good understanding of production workflows, materials planning and capacity management
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to analyse data and translate findings into practical actions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships across teams
