Job Description

At Amazon, we are working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. Amazon's Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team is seeking a highly motivated intern to learn about the management of preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment reliability, and engineering support activities within our Fulfillment Centers. RME plays a critical role in ensuring the availability and performance of all material handling equipment, building systems, and infrastructure — directly impacting Amazon's ability to deliver to customers on time and safely. Interns at Amazon Mexico work 6hs a day (30hs/week) for 12 months (internship will be conducted between September 2026 and September 2027). As an intern, you will be matched to a mentor and embedded within the site RME team. In addition to contributing to an impactful project, you will have the opportunity to engage with Amazonians for both personal and professional development, expand your network, and participate in activities with other interns throughout your internship. No matter the location of your internship, we give you the tools to own your project and learn in a real-world setting.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or other related field with a graduation conferral date between December 2024 and June 2027
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, charts)
  • Available to complete a 12-month internship working 30hrs/week
  • Proficient in English (Verbal and Written)
  • Fluent Spanish

Nice to have

  • Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance concepts, reliability principles, or CMMS systems
  • Interest in equipment reliability, automation, or facility engineering
  • Familiarity with data analysis or continuous improvement methodologies (RCA, FMEA, DMAIC)
