We have an exciting opportunity for a Secret Cleared Reliability Engineer responsible for conducting detailed Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) on individual parts and sub assemblies, and for developing comprehensive test plans that leverage accelerated aging methodologies to validate product reliability and lifecycle performance. The role collaborates closely with design engineers, material scientists, test laboratories, and program managers to ensure that reliability risks are identified early, quantified accurately, and mitigated through targeted testing and design improvements.
Job Responsibility:
Create and maintain component level FMECA worksheets following MIL STD 1629A (or equivalent) and internal reliability standards
Identify failure modes, associated causes, and effects on system performance
Assign criticality rankings and document mitigation strategies
Update FMECA results throughout the product development lifecycle and capture lessons learned
Define accelerated life test objectives and acceleration factors based on Arrhenius, Coffin Manson, or other appropriate models
Coordinate test execution with internal labs
Requirements:
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field with 3-5 years of experience, or a master's degree with 0-3 years of experience
3–5 years of hands-on reliability engineering experience, with demonstrated expertise in component level FMECA and accelerated aging/thermal cycling tests
Strong root cause analysis, risk assessment, and data interpretation capabilities
comfortable working with large data sets and generating actionable insights
Proficiency with reliability analysis standards (such as MIL STD 1629A, IEC 60812, etc.). 3-5 years' experience
Strong knowledge of failure physics, degradation mechanisms, and material behavior under stress. 3-5 years' experience
Ability to develop and interpret test plans using ASTM, IEC, or MIL test methods. 3-5 years' experience
