Job Description

The Release Train Engineer is a servant leader and coach responsible for facilitating and enabling the execution of an Agile Release Train (ART). The RTE drives alignment, flow, and continuous improvement while ensuring teams deliver value in a predictable and sustainable manner.

Job Responsibility

  • Facilitate ART-level ceremonies including PI Planning, ART Sync, Scrum of Scrums, Product Owner Sync, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt
  • Enable PI planning readiness, execution tracking, and delivery of committed objectives
  • Coordinate dependencies, manage risks, and remove impediments across teams
  • Partner with Product and Technology leadership to align strategy, roadmaps, and execution
  • Enable intake of work through demand and capacity alignment
  • Maintain ART-level metrics, dashboards, and transparency into delivery progress
  • Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and maturity assessments
  • Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindset

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Release Train Engineer
  • Experience working in Agile environments using SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, or XP
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with Agile tooling (Azure DevOps preferred)
  • SAFe® Release Train Engineer (RTE) Certification or equivalent Agile certification
