The Release Train Consultant will act as the chief Scrum Master, facilitating Agile practices and ensuring alignment across teams. This role requires a strong background in Agile methodologies, particularly SAFe, and experience in leading complex programs. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Strong communication and coaching skills are essential for success in this position.
Job Responsibility:
Act as the chief Scrum Master and servant leader for an Agile Release Train (ART)
Facilitate end-to-end value delivery processes
Remove impediments
Coach teams in Lean-Agile practices
Ensure alignment across product, engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders
Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence for large, complex programs
Lead and facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) ceremonies including PI Planning, ART Sync, Scrum of Scrums, Inspect & Adapt, and System Demos
Ensure end-to-end delivery alignment by coordinating with Product Management, System Architecture, Business Owners, and cross-functional teams
Identify, manage, and mitigate ART-level risks, dependencies, and impediments to ensure predictable delivery
Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and teams in Agile, Lean, and SAFe practices to drive continuous improvement
Optimize flow and delivery pipeline efficiency using Kanban systems, flow metrics, and DevOps collaboration
Maintain visibility through metrics such as PI progress, predictability, quality indicators, and team performance
Support backlog refinement and PI readiness activities to ensure clear feature definitions and alignment on priorities
Facilitate communication and transparency across teams, leadership, and stakeholders to maintain shared understanding of goals and progress
Drive continuous improvement through Inspect & Adapt workshops, root-cause analysis, and implementation of action items
Ensure release readiness by coordinating with Release Management, QA, DevOps, and other delivery partners for smooth, on-time deployments
Requirements:
