Are you an ITIL expert with a talent for balancing complex project delivery with operational stability? Our client is seeking a Release and Change Manager to oversee a diverse digital portfolio, managing interdependencies and risks within a multi-sourced environment. This is a 6-month contract opportunity based in Fortitude Valley, designed for a professional who thrives on maturing frameworks and acting as a guardian for production environments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Influence and continuously refine change and release policies and standards to ensure an inclusive, effective framework for managed services partners
  • Own the Release Strategy and the rolling 6-month release calendar, ensuring it is syndicated with key stakeholders and kept current
  • Act as the guardian for the production environment through proactive business engagement and risk-focused policy creation
  • Manage and Chair Change Advisory Boards (CAB) while providing oversight for various Technical Advisory Groups (TAG)
  • Coordinate with Portfolio Delivery and Operational leadership to maintain an optimised delivery schedule by providing insights on interdependencies

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in the ongoing development of Release Management and Technical Change frameworks and associated tools
  • Advanced knowledge of IT Service Management (ITIL Practitioner level or higher) and its relationship to DevOps, CI/CD, and Waterfall methods
  • Extensive experience controlling and improving change management within large, complex, and multi-sourced environments
  • Proven ability to engage with a diverse user and technical community to translate technical concepts into business concepts
  • Strong background in developing risk management, audit, and assurance programs to ensure the performance of external providers
  • Must be a Brisbane based candidate with unlimited working rights
