Play a critical role to increase the number of Tasmanian and interstate students choosing to study at UTAS. The role involves regular participation in afterhours events, travel throughout Tasmania and interstate, and time spent across all University campuses and locations. Full time, ongoing role based in Launceston.
Job Responsibility:
Build, maintain, and proactively strengthen working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including academic and administrative staff, partner agencies, Principals, TAFE representatives, career advisors and teachers, and supporting these stakeholders to guide their students’ transition to the University of Tasmania
Develop, implement, and continuously refine data informed recruitment plans, including student support and advocacy activities, that guide prospective students toward enrolment and contribute to achieving application and enrolment targets
Play a lead role in staffing key internal and external University events (including the University’s annual Open Days, information evenings, career expos, enrolment days, etc.)
Represent the University professionally at regional and interstate engagements, ensuring high quality delivery of recruitment activities on- and off-campus
Under the broad direction of the Manager, Future Students, and in alignment with university strategic priorities, support recruitment strategies for engaging prospective students in new and existing markets ensuring that individual targets for prospective students are met
Requirements:
Demonstrated success in student recruitment or business development, preferably within the Australian education sector
Strong organisation and time-management skills, together with a demonstrated ability to work with competing demands, prioritise work tasks, and be flexible in responding to changing work priorities
High-level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently influence outcomes at all levels of organisations, and liaise with people of various skills, experience and background to achieve win-win outcomes
Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and bringing individuals and teams together to achieve mutually beneficial goals
The ability to prepare and present information, in varying formats, to people from a range of backgrounds and experience levels, including reporting for senior managers
