Job Description

A well-established, independent RIA firm in the East Bay is seeking a Relationship Manager to join their collaborative, tight-knit team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about personal finance and on the path to becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

Job Responsibility

  • Partner with the business development team to onboard new households and ensure a smooth transition of assets to the firm
  • Guide clients through account establishment, asset transfers, and related service requests
  • Execute distribution transactions, including monitoring and facilitating Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) and tracking annual obligations
  • Liaise with custodial partners to complete account maintenance and servicing tasks
  • Escalate client matters to appropriate internal stakeholders and maintain thorough documentation of all interactions
  • Coordinate client meetings and investment review sessions for the Advisor
  • Maintain accurate and detailed client records within the CRM platform
  • Support client appreciation events and assist with special initiatives as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 2–3 years of experience within financial services, preferably in a client-facing capacity
  • Series 65 license preferred but not mandatory
  • Working knowledge of taxable and tax-advantaged account structures and their applications
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team while also operating independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
