Job Description:

Join us at Barclays as a Relationship Director working within the Mid Corporate team. As a Relationship Director you will be responsible for managing a specific portfolio of clients. You will be developing income and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction from this portfolio through creating deep, multi-stakeholder relationships with both existing and new contacts whilst ensuring effective risk management.

  • Execution of market research and analysis to support the identification of potential new opportunities

Requirements:

  • Experience in being part of or had led deal teams to deliver client transactions, products or services
  • Influential and professional personal and written skills and client presence with the ability to call, meet and negotiate with clients as the point of contact
  • Good working knowledge of corporate banking products and services including those linked to debt, cash management, card payments, trade & working capital and FX solutions
  • Credit skills and debt finance – has risk accreditation L1 or 2 or at a minimum a demonstrable financial understanding of business with the ability to undertake L2 within 6 months
  • Broad understanding/knowledge of the local area within Staffordshire, Wolverhampton, and Shrewsbury

  • Established or existing account management and business development skills and achievements
  • Debt finance appraisal skills directly relevant to Corporate Banking
  • Familiarity with running events and/or client entertainment with senior guests
