Join us at Barclays as a Relationship Director working within the Mid Corporate team. As a Relationship Director you will be responsible for managing a specific portfolio of clients. You will be developing income and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction from this portfolio through creating deep, multi-stakeholder relationships with both existing and new contacts whilst ensuring effective risk management.

Management of client relationships to identify the clients financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance

Design of customised solutions that address the client's specific needs and objectives
Communication of the value proposition of proposed solutions
Provision of guidance to clients to support their financial decisions
Assessment of financial, legal, and operational risks associated with client relationships
Documentation of all client interactions, transactions, and agreements
Monitoring of client satisfaction, revenue generated, and other relevant metrics
Execution of market research and analysis to support the identification of potential new opportunities
Requirements:
Experience in being part of or had led deal teams to deliver client transactions, products or services
Influential and professional personal and written skills and client presence with the ability to call, meet and negotiate with clients as the point of contact
Good working knowledge of corporate banking products and services including those linked to debt, cash management, card payments, trade & working capital and FX solutions
Credit skills and debt finance – has risk accreditation L1 or 2 or at a minimum a demonstrable financial understanding of business with the ability to undertake L2 within 6 months
Broad understanding/knowledge of the local area within Staffordshire, Wolverhampton, and Shrewsbury
Nice to have:
Established or existing account management and business development skills and achievements
Debt finance appraisal skills directly relevant to Corporate Banking
Familiarity with running events and/or client entertainment with senior guests
An energetic self-developer
