Join us as a Relationship Director- People and Property Services (PPS), Large Corporate, this is a fantastic opportunity to lead a portfolio of some of the largest business services clients that focus on People and Property solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a portfolio of the UK’s largest People services clients; including recruitment and payroll specialists as well as Property Services clients; Surveyance, Architecture, Estate and Lettings, Property Management and Facilities Management. As an industry-leading banking solutions provider to these sectors, Barclays works alongside key stakeholders within these sectors (APSCO, RICS, TPI, Property Mark) and seeks to drive positive change within the sectors. The successful candidate will demonstrate an interest in these sectors and be able to show they have the skills needed to work beyond their immediate portfolio and build relationships with critical sector stakeholders. New client acquisition is a key feature of the role so an ability to demonstrate skills in this regard will also be important. As a senior team member, the individual will be expected to support the development of colleagues through coaching and delivering industry insights and help the Head of PPS in supporting colleagues to ensure consistently excellent enhanced due diligence is undertaken on high-risk clients. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing large high-value clients and coordinating multi-stakeholder relationships, particularly in relation to central treasury and risk management activities.
Job Responsibility:
Management of client relationships to identify the clients financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance to support the analysis of data obtained from various sources, including the investment portfolio and cash flow, to identify trends, insights, areas for improvement and additional services to support client needs
Research and understanding of the client's industry trends, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations
Design of customised solutions that address the client's specific needs and objectives, incorporating a range of products and services from the bank's portfolio
Communication of the value proposition of proposed solutions, justification of recommendations, and negotiation of terms that are beneficial for both the client and the bank
Provision of guidance to clients to support their financial decisions, risk management and wealth management strategies and updates on market trends to ensure a positive and continuous relationship
Assessment of financial, legal, and operational risks associated with client relationships, and implementation of measures to minimise potential losses
Documentation of all client interactions, transactions, and agreements to ensure transparency and auditability, and communicate findings effectively to support product development, service offerings, and the overall bank strategy
Monitoring of client satisfaction, revenue generated, and other relevant metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship management efforts
Execution of market research and analysis to support the identification of potential new opportunities, market trends, and customer needs, to develop strategies for business growth
Requirements:
Strong relationship management skills, with a client-focused approach
Proven credit and pricing expertise, ensuring sound financial solutions
A proactive and growth mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver results
A proven track record in managing large high-value clients
Corporate Banking experience
Nice to have:
Industry knowledge of the Business and Professional Services sector (preferably People Services and/or Property Services)
