Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Relationship Banker (SAFE) to join the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. Responsibilities include building customer relationships, identifying banking product opportunities, analyzing customer challenges, and providing financial advisory services. This role requires licensing according to SAFE Act and adherence to financial regulations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participate in building relationships with customers and understanding their needs
  • Identify opportunities for Wells Fargo retail banking deposit and credit products
  • Analyze challenges related to full-service banking experience for high-value customers
  • Present recommendations for resolving customer inquiries
  • Open and service accounts and plan follow-ups with customers
  • Provide information to internal partners and external sources
  • Connect customers with appropriate partners or relationship managers
  • Partner with financial advisors to address investment or retirement needs
  • Educate and connect customers to self-service digital banking options.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ year of assessing and meeting the needs of customers or helping with issue resolution
  • 1+ year of building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners
  • Current registration for FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 (or FINRA recognized equivalents) is required for this role or must be completed within a specified period
  • Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays
  • State Insurance license(s) are required and must be completed within a specified period
  • Adherence to Wells Fargo sales practices risk management culture
  • SAFE registration at the time of employment
  • Meeting Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements
  • Compliance with Wells Fargo policies
  • Enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards.

Nice to have:

  • Successfully completed Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 6 and Series 63 examinations
  • State Insurance license(s)
  • Customer service focus with experience handling transactions across multiple systems
  • Proficient at sourcing, building, and maintaining relationships
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of book of business processes
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations
  • High motivation with ability to meet team objectives
  • Experience mentoring and peer-coaching.
