Job Description:

Relationship Banker position with Wells Fargo in the National Branch Network as part of the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. Employees start as Relationship Banker LP (SAFE) and transition to Relationship Banker (SAFE) role upon required licensing and SAFE registration. The role involves building customer relationships, offering banking products and services, and providing full-service banking experience.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participate in building relationships with customers
  • Identify opportunities for offering Wells Fargo retail banking deposit and credit products
  • Analyze tactical business challenges related to full-service banking
  • Present recommendations for resolving inquiries and service requests
  • Open and service accounts within authorized limits
  • Provide information to internal partners and external sources
  • Identify opportunities to leverage partners and connect customers
  • Partner with financial advisors for investment or retirement needs
  • Provide self-service digital banking options to customers

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ year of assessing and meeting customer needs or helping with issue resolution
  • 1+ year of building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners
  • Successfully completed FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 examinations (or recognized equivalents)
  • State Insurance license(s)
  • Customer service focus with experience handling transactions across multiple systems
  • Proficient with proactively sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of book of business processes
  • Ability to be proactive, innovative, and creative
  • Ability to make client calls and participate in sales development
  • Knowledge of retail compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations
  • High motivation with ability to meet team objectives
  • Experience mentoring and peer-coaching
  • Experience assessing customer needs and recommending products/services
  • Experience using business acumen to provide financial services consultation
  • Knowledge of financial services consumer lending products
  • Ability to educate customers on technology and mobile banking
  • Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays
  • Adherence to Wells Fargo sales practices risk management culture
  • Current registration for FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 (or must complete within specified period)
  • For certain states, FINRA Series 65 examination required
  • SAFE registration at time of employment
  • Meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements
  • No Visa sponsorship eligibility
