Job Description:

Relationship Banker position at Wells Fargo's National Branch Network, part of Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. Employees start as Relationship Banker LP (SAFE) and transition to Relationship Banker (SAFE) role upon required licensing and registration.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participate in building relationships with customers
  • Identify opportunities for offering Wells Fargo retail banking deposit and credit products
  • Analyze tactical business challenges for full-service banking experience
  • Present recommendations for resolving inquiries and service requests
  • Open and service accounts within authorized limits
  • Provide information to internal partners and external sources
  • Identify opportunities to leverage partners and connect customers
  • Partner with financial advisors for investment or retirement needs
  • Provide self-service digital banking options to customers

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ year of assessing and meeting customer needs or helping with issue resolution
  • 1+ year of building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners
  • Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays
  • FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 examinations (or recognized equivalents)
  • State Insurance license(s)
  • SAFE registration

Nice to have:

  • Successfully completed FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 examinations
  • State Insurance license(s)
  • Customer service focus with experience handling transactions across multiple systems
  • Proactive sourcing and relationship building skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of book of business processes
  • Ability to be proactive, innovative, and creative
  • Knowledge of retail compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention
  • Experience mentoring and peer-coaching
  • Experience assessing customer needs and recommending products/services
  • Business acumen for financial services consultation
  • Knowledge of financial services consumer lending products
  • Ability to educate customers on digital banking options
