Job Description:

Relationship Banker for Wells Fargo's National Branch Network as part of the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. Employees who are not fully licensed will participate in the Branch Banking Licensed Banker licensing program as a Relationship Banker LP (SAFE) until licensing requirements are completed.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participate in building relationships with customers
  • Identify opportunities for offering Wells Fargo retail banking deposit and credit products
  • Analyze tactical business challenges related to full-service banking
  • Present recommendations for resolving inquiries and service requests
  • Open and service accounts within authorized limits
  • Provide information to internal partners to enhance customer experience
  • Identify opportunities to leverage partners
  • Partner with financial advisors for customers with investment needs
  • Provide self-service digital banking options to customers

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ year of assessing and meeting customer needs or helping with issue resolution
  • 1+ year of building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners
  • Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays
  • Adherence to Wells Fargo sales practices risk management culture
  • Current registration for FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 (or FINRA recognized equivalents) or must be completed within a specified period
  • For specific states, FINRA Series 65 (or equivalent) examination will be required
  • State Insurance license(s) required and must be completed within a specified period
  • Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate FINRA license(s)
  • SAFE registration at the time of employment
  • Meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship

Nice to have:

  • Successfully completed FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 examinations
  • State Insurance license(s)
  • Customer service focus with experience handling transactions across multiple systems
  • Proficient with proactively sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of book of business processes
  • Ability to be proactive, innovative, and creative
  • Ability to make client calls
  • Knowledge of retail compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention
  • High motivation
  • Experience mentoring and peer-coaching
  • Experience assessing customer needs and recommending products/services
  • Experience providing financial services consultation to small business customers
  • Knowledge of financial services consumer lending products
  • Ability to educate customers about technology and mobile banking
  • Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism
