Job Description:

Relationship Banker position with Wells Fargo's National Branch Network as part of the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. Employees start as Relationship Banker LP (SAFE) and transition to Relationship Banker (SAFE) role upon required licensing and SAFE registration. The role involves building customer relationships, assessing needs, offering banking products and services, and providing full-service banking experience.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build relationships with customers and understand their needs
  • Identify opportunities for offering Wells Fargo retail banking deposit and credit products
  • Analyze business challenges related to full-service banking experience
  • Present recommendations for resolving inquiries and service requests
  • Open and service accounts within authorized limits
  • Provide information to internal partners to enhance customer experience
  • Identify opportunities to leverage partners and connect customers appropriately
  • Partner with financial advisors for investment or retirement needs
  • Provide self-service digital banking options to customers

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ year of assessing and meeting customer needs or issue resolution
  • 1+ year of building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners
  • Successfully completed FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 examinations (or equivalents)
  • State Insurance license(s)
  • Customer service focus with multi-system transaction experience
  • Proactive relationship building skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of book of business processes
  • Ability to be proactive, innovative, and creative
  • Ability to make client calls and participate in sales development
  • Knowledge of retail compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations
  • High motivation with ability to meet team objectives
  • Experience mentoring and peer-coaching
  • Experience assessing customer needs and recommending products/services
  • Business acumen for financial services consultation
  • Knowledge of financial services consumer lending products
  • Ability to educate customers on mobile banking technology
  • Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism

Nice to have:

  • Experience with small business customers
  • Knowledge of investment or retirement products
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam
  • FINRA Series 65 examination for specific states
