Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Relationship Banker (SAFE) for the National Branch Network as part of the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. This role involves building customer relationships, identifying banking product opportunities, analyzing business challenges, and providing full-service banking experience to emerging affluent and high-value customers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participate in building relationships with customers
  • Identify opportunities for offering Wells Fargo retail banking deposit and credit products
  • Analyze business challenges related to full-service banking
  • Present recommendations for resolving customer inquiries
  • Open and service accounts within authorized limits
  • Provide information to internal partners to enhance customer experience
  • Identify opportunities to leverage partners
  • Partner with financial advisors for investment needs
  • Provide self-service digital banking options to customers

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ year of assessing and meeting customer needs or issue resolution
  • 1+ year of building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners
  • FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 examinations (or recognized equivalents)
  • State Insurance license(s)
  • Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays
  • Adherence to Wells Fargo sales practices risk management culture
  • Current registration for FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 (or must be completed within specified period)
  • For certain states, FINRA Series 65 (or equivalent) examination required
  • Obtaining/maintaining appropriate FINRA license(s)
  • SAFE registration at time of employment
  • Meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements
  • Compliance with Wells Fargo policies
  • Successful completion of background and credit checks

Nice to have:

  • Successfully completed FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 examinations
  • State Insurance license(s)
  • Customer service focus with multi-system transaction experience
  • Proactive sourcing and relationship building skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of book of business processes
  • Ability to be proactive, innovative, and creative
  • Experience making client calls and sales development
  • Knowledge of retail compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention
  • Experience mentoring and peer-coaching
  • Experience assessing customer needs and recommending products
  • Business acumen for financial services consultation
  • Knowledge of financial services consumer lending products
  • Ability to educate customers on digital banking options
