A unique opportunity has arisen for an RVN to join a purpose-built rehabilitation service linked to a large multidisciplinary veterinary hospital on the outskirts of Leeds. This role offers the opportunity to combine rehabilitation-focused nursing with wider hospital nursing responsibilities across both first opinion and referral caseloads. No previous rehabilitation experience is required for this position. Full training and support will be provided for an RVN with genuine enthusiasm, curiosity, and a strong interest in developing within rehabilitation and physiotherapy.
Job Responsibility:
Delivering physiotherapy and rehabilitation support to a varied caseload
Assisting with hydrotherapy and underwater treadmill sessions
Supporting patients recovering from orthopaedic and neurological procedures
Assisting with chronic pain and long-term mobility management
Supporting tailored rehabilitation and exercise programmes
Providing client guidance and homecare support
Working closely alongside veterinary surgeons to support patient recovery plans
Requirements:
Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
Strong interest in rehabilitation and physiotherapy
Passionate about patient recovery, mobility, and long-term wellbeing
Keen to learn and develop within rehabilitation nursing
Confident communicator with a compassionate and patient-focused approach
Enjoys working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
Motivated to continue developing clinical knowledge and practical skills
