As a Rehab Aide, you will assist licensed therapists in providing therapeutic care and support to patients undergoing rehabilitation. Every day you will prepare treatment areas, help patients with exercises and mobility, manage equipment, and maintain a safe and organized clinical environment as delegated. To be successful, you will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting patient progress and therapist needs within the rehabilitation setting.
Job Responsibility:
Assist licensed therapists in providing therapeutic care and support to patients undergoing rehabilitation
Prepare treatment areas, help patients with exercises and mobility, manage equipment, and maintain a safe and organized clinical environment as delegated
Responsible for transportation and transfers of patients to, from, and within the department
Initiate, prepare, and provide routine treatment, such as hydrotherapy, hot and cold packs, ultrasound and paraffin bath, upon the direct request of the physical therapist or physical therapy assistant
Report any unfavorable responses to exercise or equipment to the therapist
Position patient and bring equipment to the treatment area
Perform housekeeping tasks: change linens on plinth when appropriate
clean treatment machines
do other cleaning as required to keep department neat and orderly
May inventory and requisition supplies and equipment
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, upon hire
Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
