Job Description

The Regulatory Reporting SME role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in regulatory reporting and compliance within the Indian capital markets. The candidate should possess strong expertise in SEBI regulations and broking operations. Responsibilities include leading regulatory reporting obligations, ensuring compliance, and managing stakeholder relationships. Preferred qualifications include NISM certification and familiarity with RegTech tools.

Job Responsibility

  • Own end-to-end regulatory reporting obligations (SEBI, Exchanges, Depositories)
  • Lead preparation, validation, and submission of regulatory reports
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines
  • Interpret SEBI, exchange, and depository circulars
  • Maintain compliance with AML/PMLA, margin reporting, financial compliance
  • Evaluate changes in regulatory frameworks and update reporting processes
  • Build validation, reconciliation, and control checks
  • Ensure audit trails and evidence retention
  • Partner with Tech/Data teams for data accuracy
  • Expertise across trading, clearing, settlement, margins, RMS
  • Ledger reporting, DP statements, pledge/de-pledge reporting
  • RBS, surveillance, and exception reporting
  • Develop SOPs, control matrices, RACI charts
  • Lead SEBI/exchange/depository audit support
  • Work with Tech/Product to automate reporting pipelines
  • Review BRDs/FRDs related to reporting changes
  • Liaise with regulators and internal teams
  • Conduct training on regulatory reporting

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in Regulatory Reporting, Compliance, or Broking Operations
  • 10-12 years in regulatory reporting or broking compliance
  • Strong understanding of SEBI, exchange, and depository regulations
  • Experience with OMS/RMS/back-office systems
  • High integrity, ownership, accuracy, and structured thinking
  • Ability to work under strict regulatory deadlines

Nice to have

  • Experience with major Indian brokers or trading platforms
  • NISM certifications
  • Familiarity with RegTech/reporting automation tools
