Job Description:

The Regulatory Reporting role is an analyst position within the Controllers Organization that will report up through the Global Head of Regulatory and Capital Reporting. The individual will support the preparation, analysis and submission of regulatory reports to various constituencies (local regulators, U.S. Federal Reserve, OCC, etc.) based on applicable requirements such as U.S. Regulatory and local regulatory reporting rules and instructions. The position will have a high level of visibility within the organization with opportunities to work directly with other Finance and non-Finance functions throughout Citi, including the Businesses, Risk, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, as well as Enterprise Technology, & Operations.

Job Responsibility:

Support the production, review and timely submission of regulatory filings and reports to U.S. regulators
Assist in monitoring and managing key metrics associated with reports to identify challenges and issues
Assist the team to drive process improvements to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of the regulatory reporting process
Work with peers and program leaders on the implementation of U.S. regulatory changes within the reporting framework
Partner with Risk & Controls team to maintain and enhance an effective internal control’s structure
Independently perform reconciliation, research and analysis for various Citigroup Products
Support submission and closing the books and sub-ledgers
Ensure all adjustments are accurately calculated, documented with valid supports and posted within established timelines
Dealing with Multiple Senior stakeholders from Country Finance, Governance, Product Control, Treasury & Operations, etc.
Escalate issues related to transactions, processes, reports, or procedures
Independently assess & report any potential risk to Citi Balance sheet and P&L
Conducting proactive review discussion with Global Balance Sheet Control Group in Account Review Forum (ARF)
Work with a team to identify and implement process improvement initiatives or standardizations

Requirements:

0-2+ years of experience within the financial services industry and regulatory reporting
Basic knowledge of U.S. regulatory reports
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong technical problem-solving skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and tasks in a complex and dynamic and work well as part of a team
Bachelor's/University degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

Nice to have:

Previous relevant experience in financial accounting, reconciliation & analysis
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated working knowledge of related industry practices and standards
Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictates
