Job Description

A newly created opportunity for a Chemical Regulatory Professional at a global chemical raw material business. You will lead a small team providing operational regulatory support across the EMEA region. You must have strong CLP knowledge and a desire to manage a small but experienced team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping regulatory strategy, influencing business decisions, and to improve regulatory systems and processes. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with key chemical regulations in the EMEA region including EU CLP, UK CLP, SEA, GHS, EU/UK REACH and PCN. You will manage and develop a small team of Regulatory Advisors and drive continuous improvement in regulatory systems, processes and standards. The team's key activities are SDS authoring, classifications, labelling and REACH compliance.

Job Responsibility

  • Leading chemical regulatory compliance across the EMEA region
  • Monitoring regulatory developments, assessing their impact and translating them into clear business actions
  • Providing expert regulatory guidance to internal stakeholders and customers
  • Representing the business within industry groups and external regulatory forums
  • Managing and developing a team of Product Safety Advisors
  • Driving improvements to regulatory systems, processes and compliance frameworks

Requirements

  • Strong CLP knowledge
  • Experience with SAP EHS or similar regulatory systems would be advantageous
  • Team management experience preferred but not essential
