The Regulatory Data Analyst plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality healthcare services by conducting comprehensive data analysis, implementing quality assurance initiatives, and facilitating peer review processes. This position collaborates closely with various departments and committees to support continuous improvement in regulatory compliance, clinical outcomes, and patient care standards. The Regulatory Data Analyst position is responsible for coordinating all peer review activities, including meetings and clinical review sessions. The Regulatory Data Analyst tracks, analyzes, and trends key data related to clinical reviews, patient safety, and quality outcomes, translating findings into clear presentations and reports for leadership and committee use. The Regulatory Data Analyst will track and trend data utilizing multiple quality reporting systems.
Job Responsibility:
Facilitation of Peer Review Processes
Coordinates Physician Peer Review and Professionalism process across clinical departments
Oversees cases submitted for peer review and assigns them to the appropriate specialty reviewers
Supports Professionalism and Peer Review Committees/sub-committees by preparing agendas, collecting data, documenting minutes, and following up on action items
Monitor completion of peer review cases and escalate delays
Analyze clinical performance data and compile practitioner performance profiles for department chairs and credentialing committees
Identify trends in professionalism and peer review outcomes that indicate practitioner performance issues, and system or process failures
Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation
Remain current with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, i.e., CMS, DPH, and Joint Commission
Assist in preparing for regulatory inspections and accreditation surveys
Develops and maintains data dashboards/ scorecards to ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and accreditation criteria
Actively engages in accreditation and regulatory survey activities, particularly in relation to peer review
Support regulatory readiness through data reporting and performance monitoring
Data Analysis and Reporting
Conduct detailed analysis of healthcare data related to clinical outcomes, patient safety, and quality indicators
Generate reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including department heads, quality committees, and executive leadership
Utilize statistical methods and software tools to interpret data trends and identify opportunities for improvement with other stakeholders
Serve as a resource and subject matter expert on quality improvement methodologies and best practices
Identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies for achieving performance targets

Requirements:
Required bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, data analytics, public health, or related field
3 years of experience in healthcare quality improvement, regulatory compliance, medical staff services, or healthcare data analytics
