The Regulatory Data Analyst supports the Senior Analyst in the preparation, validation, and delivery of regulatory reports and management information for two regulated entities. The role involves data extraction, reconciliation, and quality and integrity validation checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The analyst works closely with stakeholders from across the business to maintain reliable reporting processes and support ongoing regulatory and MI enhancements.
Job Responsibility:
Build an understanding of regulatory reporting requirements (UK and EU) and existing reports under the guidance of the Senior Analyst
Support the preparation, validation, and timely submission of regulatory reports to authorities including the Central Bank of Ireland and the Financial Conduct Authority (UK)
Perform data checks, reconciliations, and comparative analysis to support the accuracy and completeness of regulatory submissions
Assist in the development and maintenance of dashboards and MI used for regulatory and internal reporting
Write and maintain SQL queries and Python or XML solutions to support reporting processes and data extraction
Work closely with technical and non-technical colleagues, escalating issues and questions as appropriate
Contribute to documenting processes, controls, and procedures to support internal audit and regulatory reviews
Support responses to regulatory and internal data queries with oversight from the Senior Analyst
Deliver ad-hoc data extracts and analysis to support decision-making and reporting needs
Use AI tools (such as ChatGPT) responsibly to improve efficiency, learning, and day-to-day analytical tasks
Requirements:
Proven practical experience of writing SQL queries for data extraction and analysis
Experience using Power BI (or similar) to support reporting, dashboards, and data visualisation
Proficient user of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation
A curious mindset with a strong motivation to learn, improve technical skills, and understand regulatory and business data
Willingness to use AI tools (such as ChatGPT) responsibly to support learning, analysis, and efficiency
Based in Bulgaria with existing authorisation to work in the jurisdiction
Basic understanding or experience with XML-based data or reporting solutions
Nice to have:
Exposure to Python for data analysis or automation
Awareness of the fintech or financial services industry
