Job Description

The role serves as the Regulatory Change Lead within the Europe Cluster Services Controls and Regulatory Management team. This position is responsible for spearheading applicability reviews and executing Impact Assessments for regulatory changes, as assigned by the ICRM Regulation Coverage Lead. These assessments are conducted for impacted Services Global Assessment Units (GAUs) in collaboration with key stakeholders, including legal and product control leads, and their respective product managers. Furthermore, the role involves ensuring the precise mapping of applicable obligations to the relevant controls within the Manager's Control Assessment (MCA). A critical aspect of this position is also the development of standardized risk and controls reporting to diligently track all regulatory change activities, ensuring their timely completion.

Job Responsibility

  • Take the lead in performing end-to-end Regulatory Compliance Risk Management and oversight of the Europe Services products and functions Regulatory Change Management, including completion of Impact Assessments and development/ implementation of Action Plans, controls alignment and mapping, governance and reporting
  • Implement and ensure compliance with the global Services regulatory change management operating model, specifically driving adherence to prescriptive timelines as per established Metrics and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) due dates
  • Develop communication and update governance material for presentation to a wide variety of audiences from stakeholders, peers, global team, and management
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders across multiple products, functions (such as ICRM, legal), Global Assessment Unit representatives in regulatory applicability assessments while establishing and maintaining solid relationships with our internal partners and cluster peers
  • Assist with Regulatory control identification/development where necessary and conduct Compliance adequacy and appropriateness assessments leveraging the relevant SMEs
  • Support the timely identification and reporting of issues, escalations, and emerging risks, ensuring their subsequent resolution
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and streamlining, propose innovative solutions—including leveraging Artificial Intelligence where feasible—and lead the implementation of these improvements
  • Contribute to the Europe Cluster Control and Regulatory Management team by supporting overall Cluster Governance, preparing materials for Risk forums, and assisting with other components of the operational risk framework

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Regulatory Change Management, Implementation & on-going Governance for Financial Services Regulations
  • Excellent organizational and tracking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across teams and work effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment
  • Knowledge of Services products including their related control principles
  • Ability to assess the compliance risk impact of the regulatory change on the business and determine the steps necessary to mitigate
  • Demonstrated expertise of Microsoft Office product suite and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Finance, Business Management or qualification in related discipline desired but not essential
