Job Description:

The Regulatory & Compliance Risk SVP will collaborate with stakeholders to manage key compliance risks for the Global Services Organization, driving initiatives across clusters and products to ensure regulatory alignment. The role involves supporting business initiatives, managing compliance and regulatory risks, and overseeing risk and control responsibilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement internal strategies, procedures, and programs to address regulatory and compliance risk
  • design and deliver a risk management framework aligned to the firm’s risk appetite
  • drive first-line oversight and governance of key compliance programs such as conduct, conflicts of interest, and complaint management
  • collaborate with key stakeholders to improve reporting and metrics
  • establish thematic analysis and insights from complaint reporting, identifying improvements and emerging risks
  • represent the services business in enterprise-wide compliance risk program forums
  • coordinate dependencies with other Citi programs and partner businesses
  • track, report, and develop metrics for deliverables and activities
  • serve as key compliance and regulatory risk manager, thought leader, and strategy developer
  • maintain risk levels within the firm’s risk appetite.

Requirements:

  • Practical understanding of Compliance & Regulatory Risk, including expertise in regulatory management and obligations, regulatory change, and social responsibility requirements
  • experience implementing or overseeing Compliance Management, Conduct, or Conflicts of Interest Programs, including policy and procedure as well as metrics and KPIs
  • commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders
  • critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • excellent communication skills, with clear and concise written communication
  • understanding of best-practice risk management techniques within financial services, specifically regulatory and compliance risk
  • proven leadership and project management skills
  • knowledge of services-related products including related control principles
  • global mindset with regional/product understanding.
