Diagnostic Services supports a high volume of diverse adult and pediatric patients and families, providing service within Radiology, CT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound and Interventional. Most areas within this Unit function 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
Job Responsibility:
As a member of a Multidisciplinary Health Care team, co-ordinates, performs and evaluates Diagnostic Services examinations within the discipline of general X-Ray and CT, may support other modalities based on qualifications
Guides and directs clinical and technical associates and students in a teaching and research environment and provides patient care within the core values of respect, caring, innovation and accountability
Rotation though other modalities and sites based on qualifications and unit requirements maybe required
Requirements:
Graduate of an approved training program in Radiological Technology
Current member in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologist of Ontario (CMRITO)
Current BCLS registration
Experience working in CT
Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment
Demonstrated effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills
Effective problem solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced clinical environment
Evidence of participation in ongoing education & professional development
Nice to have:
Membership in the CAMRT/OAMRT preferred
Proficiency in both Official Languages, French and English, is considered an asset
