Job Description:

This position independently provides respiratory care, pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing to patients in a variety of health care settings. You will be part of a team that is responsible for all respiratory care. You would also have the opportunity to learn outpatient procedures such as Cardiac Stress Testing, PFT’s and EEG’s.

Job Responsibility:

Independently provides respiratory care, pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing to patients in a variety of health care settings
Performs all basic modalities of respiratory care
Applies and manages mechanical ventilators in collaboration with physicians
Assembles, disassembles, operates, maintains, troubleshoots, cleans and performs adjustments for durable medical equipment
Performs pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing
Performs patient assessments and evaluates patient response to care
Documents therapy provided
Communicates and collaborates with resource staff in formulating care plans
May supervise department staff
May be assigned to a variety of areas throughout the system where respiratory care is needed

Requirements:

Associate or technical degree
Proof of having passed the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
A current license in state practiced as required by state law
For Nevada: Blood Gas Technologist certification
