Job Description

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will join an established team of RTs who share your passion for delivering highly specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients experiencing breathing issues. You'll be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizer treatments to ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support.

Job Responsibility

  • Performs basic respiratory care and develops plans for the delivery of Respiratory Therapy as directed by physicians or protocols
  • Administers and monitors critical care procedures such as mechanical ventilation, physiological monitoring, and diagnostic procedures
  • Performs assessment of the patient, determining needs related to therapy modality, frequency, and duration of the treatment regime
  • Communicates pertinent patient evaluation data to physician
  • Makes entries in the medical record
  • Observes the response of the patients to therapy, evaluated and records in the patient’s medical record
  • Provides instruction to patients, family, staff, and students about theory, therapy, and equipment
  • Assumes charge person responsibilities in the supervisor’s absence

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA approved program of Respiratory Therapy
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner: KY
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Basic Life Support - CPR
