Job Description:

The Registered Respiratory Therapist role within the TriPoint Medical Center offers a unique chance to become part of a dynamic, collaborative interdisciplinary team. This position adds value to patient care and significantly assists individuals with breathing issues. We currently offer an opportunity for a full time nights, Registered Respiratory Therapist to support newborn and OB patients in our acute care hospital in Concord. The therapist is learning and incorporating the mission statement and standards of behavior of his/her hospital or care facility. This therapist performs basic competencies within orientation and provides satisfactory respiratory therapy with minimum supervision.

Job Responsibility:

Mechanical ventilation
Medicated aerosol delivery
Airway clearance therapy
Patient monitoring
Oxygen and humidity therapy
Special procedures (CPR, specialty gases, bronchoscopy, transport, etc.)
Support newborn and OB patients
Role is for our special care nursery, women laboring, and infant resuscitation during deliveries
25% travel to our main campus in Cleveland (Rainbow Babies & Children’s) is required to maintain skills

Requirements:

Associate’s Degree in Respiratory (Required) or Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory (Required)
1+ years Respiratory Therapy (Preferred)
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) (Required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Preferred)
Current RCP Ohio License granted by the Ohio Medical Board (Required)
American Association for Respiratory Care membership (Preferred)
NRP Certified (Neonatal facilities) (Required within 6 Months)
At least 2 years of experience in the NICU and attending deliveries is strongly preferred

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
American Association for Respiratory Care membership
1+ years Respiratory Therapy
