The Aged Psychiatry Assessment & Treatment Team (APATT) are a dynamic, thoughtful, supportive multidisciplinary mental health team who strive to make life better for the people we work with, and their families and carers. We are a team of Clinicians invested in our work and in supporting each other to offer our best. As a multidisciplinary team, we have a wide range of skills to offer and welcome new staff to build on this skillset, particularly where experience varies to that of our team’s existing repertoire.

Job Responsibility:

  • Our team’s work is primarily focussed on outreach (seeing people in their own homes) mixed with outpatient reviews at the clinic
  • We work primarily with adults over the age of 65, many of whom are finding life challenging as they age - being able to make a positive contribution to their experiences keeps us on our toes and ensures the working day is lively and interesting

Requirements:

  • Capacity to work independently and autonomously with a holistic approach to healthcare
  • Skills or desire to develop skills in the assessment, monitoring, treatment and management of mental health, physical health and risk
  • Competency in documenting histories and researching unfamiliar areas
  • Ability to demonstrate sound clinical knowledge, clinical reasoning and excellent problem solving skills
  • Minimum of one years’ postgraduate work experience in mental health settings
