The Aged Psychiatry Assessment & Treatment Team (APATT) are a dynamic, thoughtful, supportive multidisciplinary mental health team who strive to make life better for the people we work with, and their families and carers. We are a team of Clinicians invested in our work and in supporting each other to offer our best. As a multidisciplinary team, we have a wide range of skills to offer and welcome new staff to build on this skillset, particularly where experience varies to that of our team’s existing repertoire.
Job Responsibility:
Our team’s work is primarily focussed on outreach (seeing people in their own homes) mixed with outpatient reviews at the clinic
We work primarily with adults over the age of 65, many of whom are finding life challenging as they age - being able to make a positive contribution to their experiences keeps us on our toes and ensures the working day is lively and interesting
Requirements:
Capacity to work independently and autonomously with a holistic approach to healthcare
Skills or desire to develop skills in the assessment, monitoring, treatment and management of mental health, physical health and risk
Competency in documenting histories and researching unfamiliar areas
Ability to demonstrate sound clinical knowledge, clinical reasoning and excellent problem solving skills
Minimum of one years’ postgraduate work experience in mental health settings
