Job Description:

Fertility Nurse/Midwife role providing world class service to patients on their fertility journey. The role is varied and includes clinical opportunities in theatre, ward and clinic.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide information and advice on treatments to patients
  • Provide emotional support
  • Co-ordinate treatment cycle plans
  • Coach patients to self-administer fertility drugs
  • Care for patients pre and post theatre as well as in the clinic
  • Perform venepuncture, interpreting and giving blood results when necessary
  • Perform basic patient assessments and undertake pre-treatment consultations
  • Assist in theatre procedures, including egg collections, embryo transfers, IUI’s and Hy Co Sy
  • Preparation of theatre, ward and maintenance of resuscitation trolley

Requirements:

  • A qualification in adult nursing (Degree/ Diploma) or Midwifery
  • Current NMC registration
  • Post registration experience working within an acute hospital setting

  • Experience of gynae/obstetric
  • Theatre experience
  • Venepuncture
  • Ultra-scanning
