Job Responsibility
Perform technician-led prescription checks, filling activities, and complex billing adjudications to support the distribution of specialty medications
Act as a vital troubleshooting liaison, working directly with Patient Support Programs (PSPs), insurance providers, doctors, and care coordinators to resolve complex coverage issues
Monitor incoming communication channels, including pharmacy email accounts and phone lines, ensuring timely responses to diverse stakeholders
Ensure absolute compliance with strict cold chain standards for the storage and shipment of all sensitive specialty drug products
Oversee critical inventory management duties, including receiving orders and performing weekly inventory counts
Complete and submit essential documentation within your shift, including Incident Reports, Product Quality Complaints, and Adverse Event reports and related
Maintain an up-to-date pharmacy practice by regularly reviewing newly introduced protocols, procedures, and company communications
Requirements
Regulated Pharmacy Technician accreditation in good standing with the Provincial Pharmacy College
Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills, with full English proficiency required to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Proven problem-solving capabilities and high attention to detail to troubleshoot complex third-party billing and coverage challenges
Proficiency using standard computer applications, including MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook email clients
Ability to work autonomously and manage deadlines efficiently within a bustling on-site dispensary
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, which include occasional bending, reaching, and safely lifting or moving materials weighing up to 40 pounds
