Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at Atrium Health Cleveland. The unit consists of 18 beds serving both medical and surgical critically ill patients. The role requires strong critical thinking, organization, prioritization, and assessment skills. The ICU nurse partners with the Intensivist team to manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, titratable infusions, pronation of ventilated patients, trauma, temporary pacemakers and targeted temperature management. The team encourages professional development through shared governance, continuing education and professional certification.

Job Responsibility

Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care
Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
ICU experience preferred
ACLS and NIHSS certificate recommended within 6 months of hire

Nice to have
