In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in delivering exceptional patient care. You'll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using the full Nursing Process, all while upholding the highest standards of the State Nurse Practice Act, our facility's policies, and the Mission and Philosophy of Turtle Lake Hospital.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure seamless patient admissions including timely communication, order completion, and initial assessments
Develop and update individualized care plans reflecting changes in patient condition
Perform regular thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to providers, family, or POA
Accurately dispense oral, IV, SQ, and IM medications, manage narcotics logs, prevent/report errors
Coordinate timely notifications for changes in level of care or discharge with clear instructions
Skillfully manage outpatient and emergency room care with primary assessments and efficient team mobilization
Demonstrate proficiency in IV insertion, catheterization, NG tube placement, airway suctioning, and gastric tube maintenance
Maintain meticulous patient records of assessments, interventions, and changes
Uphold infection control standards and identify isolation needs
Engage in ongoing education and participate in nursing committees
Requirements:
Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing
License to practice professional nursing in the state of North Dakota or compact state
Graduate Nurse (G.N.) must practice under supervision of a registered nurse while work authorization is valid
