Job Description:

Permanent part-time role at Neringah Hospital in Wahroonga providing nursing care to patients with palliative care needs; work within a supportive team environment and a stimulating workplace; HammondCare is a Christian charity specializing in palliative and aged care

Job Responsibility:

Provide the best nursing care and advice to patients with palliative care needs
work within a multidisciplinary team
ensure safe, effective, quality patient care

Requirements:

Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
experience working in the specialty area of palliative care in an inpatient setting or community is desirable
four years post-graduate experience and working towards a post-graduate palliative care qualification
evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking, and analysis in your daily practice as a registered nurse
able to work within a multidisciplinary team
effective written and oral communication skills
commitment to ongoing professional development
computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system
effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment

Nice to have:

Experience working in the specialty area of palliative care in an inpatient setting or community
working towards a post-graduate palliative care qualification
