Registered Nurse (RN) for the 3E Progressive Care Unit at Atrium Health Cleveland. The unit consists of 64 beds serving cardiac, medical and surgical patients. The role requires strong critical thinking abilities, organization and prioritization, as well as thorough assessment skills. The PCU nurse partners with cardiologists/hospitalist team and other disciplines to manage titratable cardiac drips, bi-pap, post-op, post ICU patients. Top DRG’s are Dysrhythmias, Chest Pain and CHF. All patients wear telemetry monitors. The team encourages professional development through participation in shared governance, continuing education and professional certification.
Job Responsibility:
Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS recommended within 6 months of hire
