Pediatric Vascular Access Team: RNs who form a part of the Pediatric Vascular Access Team (VAT/IV Team) cover a variety of areas throughout Levine Children’s Hospital, both inpatient and outpatient. Services include peripheral IV (PIV) insertions, ultrasound-guided PIVs, midlines insertions, central line repairs and port access/deaccess (includes Power Ports and Apheresis Ports). Pediatric VAT teammates work primarily with pediatric patients across a level I trauma center.
