Registered Nurse

• Performs the Nursing Process (assessment
• diagnosis
• identification of outcomes
• planning
• implementation and evaluation) in the performance of clinical care using evidence base practice
• Provides relationship-based patient centered care that is consistent with population specific characteristics
• Always partners with the patient and significant others
• Practices using current clinical practice standards
• Coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care
• Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration
• Participates and supports performance improvement
• Completes all initial and ongoing professional competency assessment, required mandatory education, population specific education
• Serves as a preceptor and/or or mentor for other professional nurses
• Promotes Evidence based practice, nursing research and performance improvement in nursing
• Upholds all health care system/organizational policies and procedures and clinical competencies
• Participates in data collection, poses relevant clinical questions to advanced evidence-based practice
• Proactively plans for the care of patients across the care continuum
• Participates in the development of protocols and procedures
• Supports efficient and effective use of human and material resources

• Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nursing) or Bachelors Nursing (Preferred)
• RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
• BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
• Minimum 5 years Completion of accredited/ approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours
• direct patient care experience (Preferred)
• recent and relevant MED SURG RN experience preferably in post surgical med surg
