Job Description:

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide both direct and telehealth nursing care which includes, but is not limited to, triage and education to patients and families
  • Pre-operative teaching, counseling, and assisting in informed consent for orthopedic surgical procedures
  • Post-operative telephone consultations
  • Assist with a variety of procedures and tasks to maintain patient flow in clinic and provide nursing support to assistive staff as needed
  • Assist with on-boarding of new staff members
  • Respond to medical emergencies within the clinic

Requirements:

  • Current license to practice nursing in the State of Michigan (RN)
  • Two (2) years, within the past 5 years experience as a Registered Nurse providing care to adult orthopedic patients

Nice to have:

  • BSN
  • Ambulatory care experience
  • Experience, including but not limited to, with ortho injury wrapping, wound assessment, and clinical nursing skills
  • Experience with care coordination and managing complex patient populations
  • Recent (in the past 3 years) tele-health management skills
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication skills
  • both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and ability with conflict management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, prioritize duties, multi-task and problem solve with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated flexibility in accepting changing clinical assignments on short notice
  • Proficiency in computer and keyboarding skills, using electronic medical record, along with Microsoft Office and calendaring
