The Medical Intensive Care Unit-MICU is a 29-bed unit. Primary focus is on patients with respiratory distress, pneumonia, sepsis, multi-system organ failure, renal/hepatic failure, overdose, respiratory and cardiac arrest. The team utilizes ventilator support, ECMO, and Extend Time Renal Replacement (XTRRT). There is a 1:2 ratio and the MICU has an AACN Beacon Gold Designation.
Job Responsibility:
Providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS Required within 6 months of hire
Nice to have:
1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred
