Registered Nurse (RN) – Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center One Day Surgery PACU. One Day Surgery PACU is a fast‑paced and rewarding nursing environment that cares for a broad and dynamic surgical population. Our patients include those undergoing GYN, GYN/Oncology, UroGYN, Robotic procedures, General Surgery, ENT, Orthopedic Trauma, Urology, Breast Oncology, Plastic/Reconstructive Surgery, and Pediatrics. This diverse case mix offers an enriching experience for nurses looking to expand their clinical skill set and build a strong foundation in Perianesthesia nursing. Our PACU includes a 14‑bay Phase I area and a 13‑bay Phase II area. PACU nurses work in both phases, providing immediate post‑anesthesia recovery care as well as later‑stage preparation for discharge. This integrated model allows nurses to develop a deeper, more comprehensive knowledge of Perianesthesia nursing across the full continuum of care. Our team is deeply committed to meeting each patient where they are—clinically, emotionally, and culturally—while providing a supportive, compassionate experience for both the patient and their family.
