Job Description

Lafene Health Center is looking for a highly dedicated and enthusiastic individual to provide exceptional nursing care to the K-State community as a Registered Nurse.

Job Responsibility

Provides nursing care to patients who present for care daily

Requirements

Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of Kansas

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory & practices
  • nursing assessment skills
  • demonstrate practical application of nursing theory and techniques to specific patient treatment situations
  • able to follow oral & written instructions in detail
  • prepare nursing care plans and maintain records, charts and reports
  • possess exceptional problem solving and communication skills
  • have the ability to deal with confidential matters between patients and/or staff and be able to maintain that confidentiality appropriately
  • experience using a personal computer

  • Lead and support your team, completing regular superviions to assess and identify any training needs
  • Duties may include standing in for the Deputy Home Manager and/or the Home Manager in their absence
  • Report any ill health amongst residents and make requests for GP / Professional visits where necessary
  • Ensure that residents Care Plans are completed and maintained in accordance with NMC guidelines & Company policy
  • Assess all aspects of residents' care needs, and provide health supervision and direct Nursing care when required
  • Assess social and health care needs of new residents, and maintain on-going assessment and review of all other residents
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure that each resident within the Care Home has an individualised Care Plan, reviewed on a monthly basis or more frequently as required
